Cork Bits: ideas for your Napa Valley weekend

A busy December weekend is just around the corner. If you’re lucky enough to be taking a break from holiday shopping to enjoy wine country, be sure to check out the following events.

Saturday, December 10th

  • From 11am – 5pm Michael Mondavi Family Estate will host a holiday celebration that will include light holiday fare, a warm fire, and special holiday discounts. The winery will also raffle off a 3L bottle signed by Michael Mondavi with all proceeds going to the Napa Emergency Women’s Services. Tasting fees apply and you can ring 707-256-2757 for details
  • From 1pm – 4pm Luna Vineyards in Napa will host a holiday party that will include ‘nibbles,’ wine tasting, special offers and live singing by the VOENA Bay Area Childrens Choir. Cost is $20 per person (free with a $20 gift of a new unwrapped toy for Toys for Tots) and you can call 707-255-5862 x120 to RSVP
  • From 3pm -6pm Cheers! St Helena will celebrate the season with a special holiday edition of its festival. For $35 per person you’ll be able to taste wines from 40+ Napa Valley wineries while enjoying food and music. The event is located on Main St. in St. Helena and you can call 707-967-0900 for more information

Sunday, December 11th

  • At 4pm the 16th annual free “Festival of Carols” concert will take place at the St. Helena First Presbyterian Church. Following the concert there will be refreshments–call 707-963-1255 for more information
