Back in 2007 when we started this blog, getting updates around the annual wine grape harvest was like pulling teeth. Few if any wineries had their own blogs, none were on Twitter, Facebook was rarely used and YouTube was nothing more than an afterthought.

Thankfully, some four years later many of the local wineries have discovered social media and a few are using the tools to share details on the busiest time of year here in the valley.

This is good news for us, because it means we can sit back and curate the best harvest content and share it with all of you. Read on for updates, photos, videos and more on the early stages of the 2011 Napa Valley wine grape harvest.
