A good part of our day job involves keeping up on the latest and greatest developments in social media. Several weeks back we came across Qwiki, which is essentially a multimedia version of Wikipedia, the online encyclopedia that anyone can edit.

On each entry contains an ‘Improve this Qwiki’ link just above the video where you can suggest photos, videos and other content that should be added to a particular topic. That means local wineries, restaurants and personalities will want to pay attention to how they’re portrayed.

Of course, we had to plug-in a few Napa Valley searches to see what came up. Click the ‘play’ button below to watch the video (and hear the audio) of the Qwiki entry for Napa County.

If you’re curious, there are related entries for the Napa Valley AVA, Rutherford, Yountville, Oakville, St. Helena, Beaulieu Vineyards, Heitz Wine Cellars and The French Laundry, among many others.
