Time flies. March is here and so is the weekend. If you’ll be in the valley, here are a few events that are definitely worth checking out.

By the way, tomorrow also marks the first Friday of the month, which means it is Food Truck Friday in downtown Napa. The gathering is expected to have no fewer than ten different trucks, which will surely bring a big crowd. Our advice? Get there early with a bottle (or two) of your favorite wine.

Also keep in mind that Sunday is the annual Napa Valley Marathon, which means good portions of Silverado Trail will be closed in the morning hours, so plan accordingly.

Saturday, March 5th and Sunday, March 6th

  • From 12pm – 5pm both days the annual Mustard, Mud & Music jazz festival will take place in Calistoga. You’ll be able to enjoy live jazz, food, wine, galleries, shops, mud bath’s and more. Call 707-942-6333 for information and tickets
  • Black Stallion Winery will be celebrating Mardi Gras all weekend by paring its wines with jambalaya. Cost is $15 per person in advance ($20 at the door) and free for club members. Reservations are recommended and can be made by calling 707-227-3250
  • Grgich Hills Estate will host a release party in honor of the release of its 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon. In addition to tasting the new release, you’ll be able to try library vintages of Cabernet Sauvignon paired with cheese and custom-made chocolate. Cost is $25 per person ($15 for wine club members) and you can call 707-963-2784 for information and reservations
