Humphries and Miyashiro to open Kitchen Door at Oxbow Public Market
Following the abrupt closure of St. Helena’s Martini House last Fall many speculated about where proprietors Todd Humphries and Richard Miyashiro would wind up next.
According to a recent report in the Napa Valley Register, the two are set to open their latest project, Kitchen Door, this Spring at the Oxbow Public Market in downtown Napa. Here’s an excerpt:
A wood-fired rotisserie and pizza oven, a bar, communal tables, single party seating and counter seating are all planned for the space formerly occupied by the Oxbow Wine Merchants, which has now moved inside the main public market building…
The entire dining area will serve as the chef’s table — there will be no reservations, no tablecloths and no waiters. Guests’ orders are taken at the counter and delivered by the sales staff and chefs.

Jeremy Fox out at Tyler Florence’s Rotisserie & Wine
Meanwhile, across the river at Chef Tyler Florence’s new Rotisserie & Wine, word on the street is that Jeremy Fox has departed to pursue other projects. Having just dined at the restaurant last Friday, Fox’s influence on the menu and the end-product was quite apparent.
According to our friends at Inside Scoop, Fox had no comment on the move. Meanwhile, Florence had this to say via Twitter earlier today:
