November is flying by and before you know it the holidays will be upon us. That doesn’t mean the local events scene is slowing down at all. Want proof?

Check out the awesome activities taking place here in the Napa Valley this weekend below.

Saturday, November 13th

  • From 12pm – 4pm our friends at Goosecross Cellars in Yountville will host a Holiday open house. For $10 per person, you’ll be able to do a little barrel tasting, enjoy appetizers made with the winery’s gourmet food products and taste some solid wine. There will also be specially made recipe cards for you to take home so you can recreate the experience on your own time. Call 707-944-1986 for more information

Saturday, November 13th & Sunday, November 14th

  • The Napa Valley Film Festival Launch Celebration will take place this weekend at the Napa Valley Opera House and other nearby locations. The weekend launch event (the festival itself will take place next year) will include screenings of new independent films (the line-up looks killer) and prestigious studio pre-releases, as well as a chance to meet the filmmakers, actors and producers behind the movies. Oh yeah, you’ll also be able to taste local wines. Call 707-226-7372 for more information, or better yet, hit up the Napa Valley Film Festival on Facebook and Twitter
  • From 11am – 4pm the annual Silver Pass Weekend on the Silverado Trail will take place. Among the participating wineries are Clos du val, Monticello Vineyards, Piña Napa Valley and more. Pass holders will be able to enjoy current release tastings at each of the participating wineries along with barrel samples, food pairing, special discounts, library wines, and more. Cost ranges from $40 – $70 per person and you can call 707-256-0122 for more information

Happy weekend everyone!
