Some interesting Napa Valley news tidbits out there over the past couple days that we thought we should share with you…

San Francisco Giants celebrate World Series victory with Mumm Napa
Following the San Francisco Giants’ improbable World Series championship this week we heard from representatives of Mumm Napa, who wanted to let us know the Giants celebrated the victory with Mumm Napa Brut Prestige (yum!). Yep, that’s right, the sparkling wine that was being sprayed on anyone and everyone in sight came from right here in the Napa Valley.

In fact, according to the rep, the Giants celebrated with the sparkler after their division clinching victory against the San Diego Padres, as well as their victories in the National League Divisional Series and the National League Championship Series.

NBC planning ‘supernatural soap’ set in Napa Valley
Yesterday, news broke that NBC is planning a so-called ‘supernatural soap’ set in the Napa Valley for next season. According to reports, “Vines” will focus on “…a troubled family desperate for a fresh start that takes over a Napa Valley winery whose ancient vines possess dangerous mystical powers.” Wow.

Check out the Napa Valley Register article with more details (and hilarious commentary from locals).
