Cork Bits: ideas for your Napa Valley weekend

by Karen on October 28, 2010

Halloween is just a few days away and it falls on a weekend, which means there is no shortage of Halloween-themed events taking place across the valley.

Here are a few that should be worth checking out…

Friday, October 29th

  • From 5pm – 7pm tomorrow the team at JV Wine & Spirits on First Street will host a Halloween costume party. Head on over to the JV tasting bar, to sip “scary” wines and engage in a costume competition. The fee is $10 per person and you’ll also be treated to special appetizers and items prepared by Chef Diana. Call 707-253-2624 for more information

Saturday, October 30th

  • C Casa, which is located inside the Oxbow Public Market in downtown Napa, will host an all-day Taco-Thon fundraiser. Here’s how it works, simply mention “Napa Valley AIDS Walk” when you place your order at C Casa on Saturday and they’ll donate 10% of your bill to the Napa Valley AIDS Walk (cool!). Call 206-612-1351 for details
  • From 12pm – 3pm the annual Hometown Halloween Parade will take place in downtown Napa, which is where costumed kids can trick or treat at merchant stores displaying orange and black balloons. There will also be photo opportunities with characters from the Flintstones and the cast from the Wizard of OZ and there is no charge for the event. Ring 707-257-0322 for more information
  • From 10am – 4pm Goosecross Cellars in Yountville will host a Halloween celebration that will include pairing wines with decadent chocolate treats. Cost is $10 per person and you can call 707-944-1986 for more details

Have a happy Halloween everyone!
