Cork Bits: ideas for your Napa Valley weekend

Few, what a week. The old day job had us in five states and seven cities over the past four days!

Now it’s time to think about the weekend, read on for what’s going on here in the Napa Valley…

Saturday, July 24th

  • At 8pm at the newly renovated and re-opened Uptown Theatre in downtown Napa, Toad the Wet Sprocket will perform. Doors open at 6pm and tickets are $37 and $47 per person to see this 4-piece ‘folk-pop’ band of Santa Barbara, CA high school cronies. Call 707-259-0123 for more information
  • From 4pm – 8:30pm the Great Chefs of Napa Valley Series will continue at Cedar Gables Inn on Coombs Street in Napa. For $125 per person you’ll be able to put on your BBQ mitts and roll up your sleeves to learn from Chef Greg Cole of Celadon and Cole’s Chophouse. An added bonus? Marketta from Marketta Winery will be pairing her wines with each course. Call 707-224-7969 for details

Sunday, July 25th

  • From 4pm – 6pm downtown Napa’s Wineries of Napa Valley will host a tri-tip and wine event that is already tantalizing our taste buds. For $10 per person you’ll be able to enjoy a tri-tip steak appetizer with your wine tasting. Call 707-253-9450 for more information
  • From 10am – 4pm Napa’s Scientopia will host a gift fair, BBQ and children’s activities. Cost is $6 per person over 1 for playing and from 11am – 2pm there will be tri-tip and the gift fair featuring vendors such as Hairloom Blooms, Handysaks, Designs by Deanna, Wine Country Confections and more.
