Happy Friday everyone. Here are a few noteworthy stories from the Napa Valley to take you on into the weekend.
Carpe Diem Wine Bar opens in downtown Napa
Last weekend we were out for a walk in downtown Napa and noted a new (to us anyway) wine bar located in the space previously occupied by the Gondola Restaurant on Second Street (just across from the courthouse). Turns out the new wine bar, Carpe Diem, has been open for about a month. Check out the Napa Register story here.
Relay for Life July 24 – 25 at Napa Valley College
It’s mid-July, which means the annual Relay for Life event is coming up here in the Napa Valley. The event, which is put on by the American Cancer Society, benefits cancer research and is something we’ve attended for several years running now. Check out our recap from 2008 for more and come on out and join us in a couple weeks!
Michael Chiarello’s Bottega Ristorante expanding
A couple weeks ago as we strolled around Yountville (our little guy loves to explore the area over-and-over again) we noted that Michael Chiarello’s Bottega Ristorante appeared to be undergoing some changes. Inside V Marketplace construction was underway and posted signs indicated that Bottega was “expanding.” We’ve reached out to a representative and will update you on the plans as we learn more.
