The coalition seeking to build a county-wide walking and biking trail that would stretch from Calistoga to Napa (and beyond) is organizing a rally for July 28th in Yountville.
The meeting, which will start at 5:30pm at the Yountville Community Center on Washington Street, is an attempt to gather and organize volunteers to support the Napa Valley Vine Trail effort. According to information on the Vine Trail website, the “…44-mile trail will significantly reduce the community’s carbon footprint by replacing 150,000 automobile trips per year.”
The organization is seeking volunteers to do marketing, collateral design, run a speakers bureau, do event development and much more. Executive Director Chuck McMinn will provide an update on progress to-date and detail what’s next. To attend, RSVP by sending email to info [at] napavalleyvinetrail.org or by calling 707-337-9018.
