Wow, the week certainly got away from us. The good news is it’s a long weekend here in the U.S. and we’re predicting some grilling and great wine in our future!

If you’re planning to be in town for this busy holiday weekend, check out the following events–each of which have a bit of a BBQ flare…

Friday, May 28th

  • Tonight from 5pm – 8pm downtown Napa’s Back Room Wines will present its six favorite wines to drink with foods hot off the barbecue (just in time for your Memorial Day grilling). Cost is $10 per person and you’ll be able to enjoy an international selection of wines from Spain, Italy, France, U.S., Argentina and Austria. Call 707-226-1378 for more information

Saturday, May 29th

  • From 10am – 4pm Goosecross Cellars in Yountville will fire up the grill and present its new red wine releases in honor of Memorial Day. For $10 per person you’ll be able to enjoy grilled sausages, artisan cheeses and chocolate brownies paired with the winery’s wines. Call 707-944-1986 for details

Sunday, May 30th

  • From 10am – 4:30pm von Strasser Winery will host a Mexican-style BBQ to celebrate its 20th Anniversary. For $35 per person (free for ‘Diamond Cartel Members’) you’ll be able to try the winery’s wines and enjoy a grilled feast. Please call Amanda or Lindsay Faith at the winery 707-942-0930 for more information

Enjoy the long weekend!
