Cork Bits: ideas for your Napa Valley weekend

by Karen on April 8, 2010

It’s setting up to be a gorgeous Spring weekend here in the Napa Valley. Here are a couple events that look promising…

Saturday, April 10th

  • From 1pm – 4pm Clos Pegase Winery in Calistoga will host its sixth annual ‘Spring of the Muses’ event. The event will feature a student art display, music by David Auerbach, barrel samples of the winery’s 2008 Hommage Cabernet Sauvignon and more. The ’08 Hommage Cabernet Sauvignon saw Paul Hobbs consult on harvest decisions, fermentation, elevage regimes and preparing the blend. Cost is $20 per person ($free for Club members) and you can RSVP by emailing pluckin@clospegase.com or calling 707-942-4981 x209.
  • At 6:30pm Casa Nuestra Winery in St. Helena will host a winemaker dinner that will feature the winery’s founders and winemaking staff for appetizers paired with library wines from the winery’s private collection. For $99 per person (must be over 21), you’ll then be able to sit down for four more courses, all specially paired to current release wines. Call 866-844-9463 to reserve a spot

Cheers everyone!
