Cork Bits: ideas for your Napa Valley weekend

The month of December is here and the local events are plentiful–and this time around we’ve come up with several that won’t cost you a dime!

If you’ll be in our neck of the woods this coming weekend, here are a few items worth checking out.

Page Wine Cellars Yountville

Friday, December 4th

  • From 6:30pm – 8pm Peju Winery will host its Holiday open house where you’re invited to enjoy Peju wines paired with small bites while shopping for holiday wine gifts. There is no charge for the event and you can call 707-963-3600 for more information
  • From 8pm – 11pm Cornerstone Cellars and Page Cellars will host the Ehlers Lane Art Collective at their new tasting rooms in Yountville. The event is free and you’ll be able to view local art and meet the artists, including Melissa Baker, Mercedes Baker, Christopher Jones Marino, and Justin V. Manes. Saturday, December 5th

  • From 10:30am – 12:30pm the 17th Annual Festival of Trees will take place at the Meritage Resort & Spa in Napa. The cost is $85 per person for this fashion show and luncheon, which will see all proceeds benefit the Napa Valley Symphony. Call 707-226-8742 for more information

Saturday, December 5th and Sunday, December 6th

  • From 11am – 4pm both days the Rutherford Wineries Passport Weekend will take place. For $65 per person for both days ($50 per person for Sunday only) the wineries of the Rutherford Appellation will offer exclusive barrel tastings, wine and food pairings, and special discounts.
