It’s late September, which means there’s no shortage of events taking place in the Napa Valley this weekend.

Here are a few you may want to check out…

Girard Winery yountville

Friday, September 25th

  • From 5pm – 7pm at Whole Foods in Napa, Newton Vineyards will be offering tastes of its current releases of Newton Vineyard Chardonnay, Unfiltered Chardonnay and Unfiltered Merlot. There’s no fee and you can call 707-204-7620 for more information

Saturday, September 26th

  • From 11am – 3pm Andretti Winery in Napa will be hosting a wine tasting event with Mr. Mario Andretti himself. For $10 per person, you’ll get a glass of wine and the chance to hang with Mario, who will be on-hand to autograph items purchased in the tasting room. Call 877-386-5070 x225 for more details
  • From 12pm – 5pm, Girard Winery invites you to taste its newly released 2006 Cabernet Franc and 2007 Petite Sirah at its Yountville tasting room. The event, which is complimentary, will see the wines paired with a sneak preview of the winery’s special chili. Call 707-968-9297 for details
  • From 9am – 5pm the 9th Annual Cruisin’ Calistoga Beer & Wine Festival & Car Show will take place at the Napa Count Fairgrounds in Calistoga. Between 1pm – 4pm there will be chili and pasta cook-offs, beer and wine tasting, music and more. Cost is $25 per person and you can ring 707-942-1473 for additional information
  • From 5pm – 8pm, St. Helena’s Raymond Vineyards will be hosting a celebration around its 36th harvest and the release its first Napa Valley Syrah–a 2007 Small Lot (125 cases produced in total). For $25 per person (complimentary for wine club members) you’ll be able to taste limited edition wines, including the new Syrah, as well as the Rutherford Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, paired with wood fired pizzas.
