Yountville: Laura Cunningham’s Vita closer to becoming a reality?

by TrevR on September 8, 2009

Way back in February we shared a few details on Laura Cunningham’s Vita, a 130-seat restaurant planned to occupy the space where PJ Steak previously stood on North Washington Street in Yountville.

Buzz around Vita started in mid-2008, with a target initial opening floated for ‘mid 2009′. Having walked past the space just this past weekend, it would appear (at least on quick glance from the outside) that plenty of work still remains.

This evening, however, a job post that seemingly refers to Vita ( “an upscale Italian restaurant soon to be opening in Yountville”) leads us to believe we may actually see the restaurant open before the end of the year.

Jeffrey Cerciello and the Thomas Keller Restaurant Group have reportedly been selected to run the culinary side of the venture.

Stay tuned!

Any more updated information on Vita opening yet ?
I will be in the Yountville are the first week of December, and would love to try dining there if it will be open.

Also, do they have a website ?

The latest rumor we're hearing is that Vita won't open until “Spring” of 2010…at this point, who knows, they've been talking about it for nearly two years! Enjoy your visit
