Sights and sounds from Hill Family Estate’s Heirloom BLT and Wine party

This past Saturday, as temperatures soared to nearly 110 degrees in the Napa Valley, we had the very difficult assignment of attending an Heirloom BLT and Wine party in Yountville.

Heirloom BLT Party

The event was held at Bardessono to celebrate the release of three wines from Hill Family Estate, each of which we were able to sample. The 2008 Napa Sauvignon Blanc, the 2008 “Tiara Reserve” Sauvignon Blanc (our favorite of the day and one we’d highly recommend you give a shot) and the 2008 Late Harvest Sauvignon Blanc.

There was, of course, some amazing food as well. Aside from the forty varieties of heirloom tomatoes, there was an abundance of heritage bacon, a Rancho Gordo bean salad, a delicious white corn succotash and much more.

Below is a photo gallery from the event that was put together by our resident photographer. Just click on any image to see the full-size version (load times may vary), or click “View with PicLens” to watch a slide show with captions.
