On Saturday, August 29th, Hill Family Estate will host a very fun (and yummy) event to celebrate the release of its 2008 “Tiara” Reserve Napa and Late Harvest Sauvignon Blanc.

Given that we’re in the peak of tomato season, Hill Family Estate has decided to create an amazing Heirloom BLT bar in Yountville that should go quite well with its new releases.

For $45 per person (open to the public and free for wine club members), you’re invited to the Bardessono Hotel from 2pm – 5pm where you’ll be able to create your own BLTs from a selection of artisan bacon and a variety of heirloom tomatoes.

There will be some 40 varieties of heirloom tomatoes from the Hill Family Farm, 10 heirloom basils, 15 rare salts and bacon (yum!) from artisan producers such as Allan Benton, Nueske’s, Vande Rose Farms, Fatted Calf, 4505 Meats and Boccalone. To go with all the food Hill Family Estate will pour, for the first time, the 2008 “Tiara” Reserve, Napa and Late Harvest Sauvignon Blanc.
