August is winding down and vineyard activity is ramping up in these parts.
Here are a couple events taking place this weekend which will involve a good time and good wine. Can’t go wrong with that!
Saturday, August 22nd
- From 4pm – 7pm Blackbird Vineyards‘ winemaker Aaron Pott and president Paul Leary will host an exclusive pre-release tasting of the 2007 Napa Valley Proprietary Red Wines to be released in late September. For $50 per person, you will have the opportunity to taste and acquire the last of the 2006 vintage wines, as well as pre-order an allocation of 2007 vintage wines. The event, which will take place at Ma(i)sonry in Yountville, will include food and you’ll be able to explore Ma(i)sonry’s sculpture garden and collection of art, furnishings, and design. Space is limited, so be sure to call 707-944-0889 to save your spot
- Meanwhile, from 6:30pm – 10pm Sterling Vineyards in Calistoga will host a ‘Summer of ’69′ party. For $69 per person ($79 at the door) you’ll be able to watch the sunset while enjoying several food-and-wine stations throughout the winery. There will also be live Summer of ’69 music, all of which is to commemorate the winery’s 40th anniversary. Call 800-726-6136 for more information
Cheers, enjoy your weekend!
