Over the weekend we had the pleasure of attending a Zin n’ Ribs party in Yountville.
The event, which was hosted by Chef Michael Chiarello, also featured local chefs/restaurateurs and fellow Top Chef Masters participants Hubert Keller of Fleur de Lys Restaurant, Cindy Pawlcyn of Mustard’s (and others), and Elizabeth Falkner of Citizen Cake and Orson.
As you’d expect, the food was amazing. We enjoyed Tuscan BBQ ribs (see luscious photos below), a very tasty fennel slaw, some super spicy peppers, a perfectly cooked Polenta bread and some nice, cool watermelon.
With the hot weather, the wine was flowing quite readily from the likes of Duckhorn Vineyards (the 2008 Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc was the perfect antidote to the sweltering heat), Chiarello Family Vineyards (we always enjoy the Giana Zinfandel and this time was no different), Miner Family Vineyards, Larkin (we were impressed with a very smooth 100% Cabernet Sauvignon), Elyse and others.
