Aside from the fact that veraison is well underway throughout the valley, there’s another sure-fire way we can tell harvest is just around the corner.
Just as many grapes are changing colors, so too are the vineyard leaves. While entire vineyards won’t explode with bright yellows, oranges and reds until October or early November (truly one of the most gorgeous times of year around here by our estimation), there are already signs that Summer is getting ready to give way to Fall.
Here are a couple shots taken this evening in Napa’s Oak Knoll District.
