With the upcoming weekend comes a brand new month–can you believe it’ll be August in a couple days?!
Soon the annual harvest will be underway and things will get even busier than they have been here in the Napa Valley. If you’re around this coming weekend, check out the following events…
Saturday, August 1st
- From 12pm – 4pm Oakville’s Saddleback Cellars will be celebrating the release of its 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon. For $25 per person ($15 per club member), you’ll be able to enjoy some BBQ, music and ‘all the wine you can drink’. You can RSVP online or pay at the door. Call 707-944-1305 for more information
- At the same time (12pm – 4pm), the Napa Chili Cook-Off, which will benefit the Napa Food Bank, will be taking place on the Napa waterfront at the Veterans Park in downtown Napa. Chili will be judged by local celebrities including Chef owner of La Toque Restaurant, Ken Frank. Admission is $20 per person and you can call 707-326-3891 for all the details
- Like 80′s music? Like wine? If you answered yes to either of those questions (or both), then you may want to check out Franciscan’s retro Saturday night festivities from 5pm – 7pm. Sunday, August 2nd
- From 11am – 4pm Hall will host a unique event for wine lovers and their canine friends. For the $20 ticket price, you’ll get a tasting of select Artisan wines and a presentation of delectable treats for dogs and their humans. The event is also slated to offer pet facials, gourmet food, wine tastings, doggie massages and more. The Woof Report will be on-hand to share information and tips on keeping your dog happy and healthy and 20% of wine sales will go to the Napa Humane Society
