Cork Bits: ideas for your Napa Valley weekend

by Oliver J on July 16, 2009

It’s going to be another warm one this weekend, good thing there are some picnic/BBQ-related events taking place!

As for us, we’ll be at the Hess Collection’s annual Member Appreciation BBQ out in the garden. If you’ll be there too, be sure to say hello!

Cornerstone Cellars

Saturday, July 18th

  • From 12pm – 3pm Peju Province Winery will host a BBQ for its wine club members and the general public. For $50 per person ($40 per wine club member) you’ll be treated to a picnic in the Peju gardens that will feature Peju wines, classic American barbeque fare and live music. Call 800-446-7358 to reserve your spot
  • From 2pm – 6pm the folks at Cornerstone Cellars will continue to celebrate the opening of their new Yountville tasting room by hosting a ‘Six Vintages of Howell Mountain’ event. Founder Michael Dragutsky will be on-hand and attendees will be able to taste six different vintages of Cornerstone Cellars’ Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon. There is no charge for this event, and you can call 707-945-0388 for more information

Sunday, July 19th

  • Starting at high-noon the folks at Gargiulo Vineyards in Oakville will host a music-themed event behind the winery on a stage overlooking OVX vineyard. In addition to the music, you’ll be treated to burgers, sausages and summer wines. Cost is $50 per person and you can call Sharon at 707-944-2770 for all the details

Happy Weekend!

Thanks for the mention. We look forward to visiting with everyone. For fun will be popping some wines from the early 90’s too.
