It’s Thursday again and the Father’s Day weekend is nearly here. The weather is finally starting to feel how it should in these parts–near 90 degree temperatures today in the valley and close to that throughout the weekend!
Here are a few events that are sure to make all those Dad’s out there happy.
Saturday, June 20th
- The 2009 Taste of Howell Mountain event will take place from 2:30pm – 7:30pm at Charles Krug Winery in St. Helena. The event, which costs $95 per person, will feature food, a silent auction and wine from some 30 local wineries between 2:30pm – 5pm. From 5pm – 7:30pm there will be a live auction event (download the catalog here) with proceeds going to benefit the Howell Mountain Elementary School. - The second annual ‘Solarbration’ will take place at Yountville’s Bardessono from 6pm – 9pm. Ten Napa Valley wineries at the forefront of solar energy and sustainable farming practices will host a celebration where guests will be treated to exclusive wine tastings, live entertainment and sustainably grown gourmet cuisine compliments of Bardessono’s kitchen. Participating wineries include Flora Springs Winery & Vineyards, Honig Vineyard & Winery, Larkmead Vineyards, Longmeadow Ranch Winery, Oakville Ranch Vineyards, Peju Winery, Saintsbury, Silverado Vineyards, Trefethen Family Vineyards and ZD Wines. The event costs $40 per participating winery wine club member and $50 per person for non-members and all proceeds will be donated to the Land Trust of Napa County. Sunday, June 21st
- V Marketplace will celebrate the “art of the driving machine” from 11am – 4pm. This free event will include some 100 early and late model autos such as the Packard, Pierce Arrow, Ford, Ferrari, M.G., Mercedes Benz and more. Call 707-944-2451 for more details
