As I write this post, I’m sipping on a glass of Trinchero Family Estates’ 2007 California Red ‘ Wine4 Grillin’, which is a blend of Zinfandel, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.

This particular wine, which comes in box form, was available at Cost Plus World Market’s throughout the country for the better part of the last year. We, along with many of you, found it to be a quality wine–great for casual drinking or use at a summertime party–that didn’t break the bank.

However, as many of you commenters have noted, the Wine4 Grillin’–as well as the counterpart Wine4 Chillin’–is in extremely scarce supply these days and from what we gather, Trinchero doesn’t plan to offer similar wines this year.

Instead, our local Cost Plus is carrying two new versions of the Wine4 boxed wines–this time offering a ‘Wine4 Sangria’ series. The wine follows the same packaging (an eco-friendly box with three liters worth of wine inside) and is available in red and white versions for right around $16 per box.

We’ve not yet given the Wine4 Sangria a try (we’re still stocked up on last year’s Wine4 Grillin’ and Wine4 Chillin’), so if you’ve had it, leave us a comment and let us know what you thought!
