The clouds are gone and the sun should be shining for at least the next several days here in the Napa Valley–good news as there are several Mother’s Day-related events scheduled for this weekend…
Saturday, May 9th
- From 11am – 3pm the team at Trefethen Family Vineyards will be offering a taste of the newest release of its flagship Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2004 HaLo, along with paella from Gerard Nebesky (who recently won a ‘throw-down’ with Chef Bobby Flay on The Food Network). For $45 per person ($35 per person for club members), you’ll be able to enjoy the wine, the paella and the tunes of Layce Baker and the Black Diamond Blues Band. Call Patti Podolski at 800-556-4847 to reserve your spot
Sunday, May 10th
- From 12pm – 4pm up on Mount Veeder all you mothers (and your guests) out there are invited to enjoy a complimentary chocolate and wine pairing courtesy of The Hess Collection. All mothers will also be given roses and everyone will be able enjoy the sounds of The Bill McCubbin Trio in the winery’s outdoor garden area. Did we mention the best part? There is no need to reserve a spot and no charge for the event
- Between 2pm – 4pm the folks at Rubicon Estate in Rutherford invite you to relax on their private Chateau Terrace while enjoying a selection of loose teas, savory and sweet petite fours by Chef Kelly McCown, and a glass of the winery’s newly released 2008 Sofia Riesling. For $50 per person ($45 per person for members), you’ll also be treated to the sounds of harpist Laura Simpson. The winery asks that you RSVP by today (Thursday, May 7, 2009) via email to events@rubiconestate.com or phone 707-968-1174
Happy Mother’s Day weekend everyone!
