Now that your taxes are (hopefully!) done and your refund (hopefully!) is in the mail, you can re-focus on the important things in life, like the weekend.

According to our trusty weather people, we’re expecting summer-like conditions here in the Napa Valley this weekend (hello mid-80s), which should make the following events all the more enjoyable.

Saturday, April 18th

  • From 10:30am – 2:30pm Robert Craig Winery will host its 2006 Affinity and Mt. Veeder Release Party. For $20 per person (free for wine club members), you’ll get to taste the 1999, 2003, 2006 and 2008 (barrel) vintages of the winery’s Affinity and Mt. Veeder Cabernet Sauvignons while enjoying culinary treats by Knickerbocker’s and great music by the NOEMA World Band, featuring Tres Goetting. The winery will also pick-up the sales tax tab on Cabernet Sauvignon purchases made at the event. The release party will be held at the winery’s downtown Napa tasting room at 880 Vallejo Street. Advanced reservations are required and can be made by calling Peter McFarlane at 707-252-2250 x1
  • From 12pm – 3pm Judd’s Hill Winery will host its 3rd Annual Musical Bonanza. For $55 per person ($40 for wine club members), you’ll be treated to a live musical act, delectable grilled victuals and savory treats. The winery’s brand-new wine releases will be flowing and you’ll have the opportunity to taste some of the most anticipated future releases straight from the barrel as they continue to age. The event benefits the Napa Valley Youth Symphony. Judd’s Hill is located at 2332 Silverado Trail in Napa. Call 707-255-2332 to reserve your spot

Saturday, April 18th and Sunday, April 19th

  • The 22nd Annual April in Carneros will take place from 10am – 4pm on both days. For $40.00 per person for both days (or $30.00 for Sunday only), you’ll get access to some 25 wineries in the Carneros region that will each be hosting an open house. Among other things, the individual wineries may be featuring food and wine pairings, live music, special tastings (barrel, reserve, library, new release), discounts or special pricing and more. A few of the Napa Valley wineries that will participate include Bouchaine Vineyards, Folio Winemakers’ Studio, Truchard Vineyards and more.
