Believe it or not, the first weekend in April is nearly upon us–my how time flies.
We’ve got two wine-related events for you this weekend that promise to be both entertaining and interesting, so get out there and enjoy them.
Saturday, April 4th
- The Piña Family, proprietors of Piña Napa Valley, will host a Spring Release party from 11am – 4pm. For $10 per person (free to all Red Tilde Club Members), you’ll be treated to samples of two of the winery’s newly released wines, the 2006 D’Adamo Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon and the 2006 Buckeye Vineyard, Howell Mountain. In addition, you’ll get an early taste (via barrel sample) of the soon to be bottled 2007 Ames Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon and will be able to try the infamous Piña Family paella. Yum! Call 707-738-9328 for more information
- From 2pm – 4pm the folks at Clos Pegase in Calistoga will host their 2nd annual “Spring of the Muses” event in the cave theater. The event, which is $20 per person ($10 per wine club member and guest), will be a futures preview tasting of the winery’s 2007 Hommage Artist Series Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon, which will be taken directly from the barrel by winemaker Shaun Richardson. Clos Pegase put consultant winemaker Paul Hobbs in charge of harvest decisions, fermentation and elevage regimes, and preparing the blend for the 2007 Hommage Artist Series Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon, so it should definitely be worth checking out. Call 707-942-4981 x209 or e-mail wineclub[at]clospegase.com to reserve your spot
