A warm, sunny weekend is nearly upon us. Here are a couple events taking place in-and-around the Napa Valley that you’d do well to check out if you happen to be around.

Saturday, March 28th

  • Between 1pm – 5pm, downtown Napa’s Oxbow Public Market will be hosting a Birthday Party for itself. From 1pm – 3pm there will be a backyard BBQ on the river terrace that will feature samples from many of the fresh food merchants. The party will also include music, childrens activities, celebratory sweet treats and more. Among the specials being offered by market merchants, FOLIO Enoteca & Winery will be pouring two wines at $4 each–the Oberon 2007 Sauvignon Blanc and the Spellbound 2005 Petite Sirah. For the full schedule and more details, go here

Saturday, March 28th and Sunday, March 29th

  • Rutherford’s Elizabeth Spencer will host a 2007 Elizabeth Spencer Grenache release event from 11am – 5pm. The Elizabeth Spencer Grenache is from Mendocino and the staff will also be pouring a selection of its limited production wines, as well as current releases. Cost is $20 per person (free for wine club members) and no reservation is necessary, but appointments are appreciated by phone or email. Call 707-963-4762 for more information
