We’re beginning to see the initial sprouts of mustard appear in the Napa Valley–it’s such a gorgeous time…
Just a couple items for you this weekend. We’ll be spending it down in Southern California, but if you’ll be here in our neck of the woods, you may want to check these events out.
Sunday, Jaunary 11th
- The Oxbow Cheese Merchant (home to some of the best smells in the entire Oxbow Public Market according to one member of The Cork Board Team) will host a launch party for the new Culture Magazine. For $20 per person you’ll enjoy an Irish cheese plate and NapaSmith Porter. Check out the write-up on the new magazine over at Fermentation and be sure to RSVP by Friday (1/9). - The folks at Grgich Hills Estate in Rutherford will have will host a live French Baroque concert at 2pm. Les Violettes (Violet Grgich, harpsichord, and Colin Shipman, viola da gamba) will be on hand to perform character pieces of the French Baroque, including music written by Marais, who played like an angel, and Forqueray, who played like a devil.
