It’s cold and wet around here–heck, there’s even snow atop the mountains in and around St. Helena. It’s certainly starting to feel like winter in the Napa Valley now. This weekend we’ve got a couple events that should help you get further into the Holiday spirit…

Saturday, December 20th and Sunday, December 21st

  • Downtown Napa’s Wineries of Napa Valley will host a ‘smothered in chocolate’ event from 3pm – 5pm where you’ll be able to enjoy a pairing of boutique Napa wines with decadent chocolate-smothered treats. For $10 per person you get chocolate and a tasting of five different wines from a selection of nearly two dozen choices. Call 707-253-9450 for more information
  • After you’ve had some wine and chocolate, head on over to Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars in the aptly named Stags Leap District to check out the Carols In The Caves event. Starting at 5pm (and running for roughly two hours) carols will performed in wine caves by The Improvisator, master of rare instruments. As always, the event will feature dulcimers, drums, flutes, bells and more. Cost is $65 per person, which includes wine and hors d’oeuvres. This is a casual event, not a formal performance. Call 707-224-4222 for more information
