As mentioned this past Thursday, we spent the better part of Saturday at Cakebread Cellars in Rutherford attending the winery’s Holiday cookie cooking class (say that three times fast).
We had an absolute blast making (and tasting) seven different types of cookies–everything from your basic sugar cookies to fig and date pinwheels and chocolate macaroons (yum!). The wine was also flowing, of course, and we tasted the 2007 Cakebread Cellars Sauvignon Blanc (our favorite of the day), the 2007 Cakebread Cellars Napa Valley Chardonnay and the 2005 Cakebread Cellars Zinfandel.
