Today is a special day here at The Cork Board world headquarters–four years ago today we tied the knot in front of a big group of friends and family. It seems like just yesterday and a long time ago at the same time (if that’s even possible). To celebrate, we’ll be headed to the beautiful Sonoma Coast this weekend for a bit of a getaway.

For those of you who may be in or around the Napa Valley this weekend, here are a couple events we recommend looking in to.

Saturday, October 11th

  • One of our favorite Napa Valley wineries, Paraduxx, will host its 2008 Open House from 3pm – 6pm. Attendees will enjoy pre-release tasting and sales of the Paraduxx and Postmark wines (we’re particularly fond of the Postmark wines) and the unveiling of the 2006 vintage. There will also be hands-on blending seminars and cuisine from local restaurants. Cost is $55 per person. Call 888-354-8885 for more information.
  • The 17th Annual AIDS Walk Napa Valley takes place at 10am (registration begins at 8:30am) to raise funds to support Queen of the Valley Medical Center’s Care Network. Call 707-257-3863 for all the details.

Sunday, October 12th

  • Andretti Winery will be doing a food and wine tasting featuring an afternoon of delectable hors d’oeuvres from local caterers, paired with sensational Andretti wines. There’s no charge for admission and the event takes place from 1pm – 4pm at 4162 Big Ranch Rd. in Napa. Call 877-386-5070 x225 for more information.
