In the third and final portion of our video interview with Chef Michael Chiarello we discuss a wide range of topics, including details on Bottega, how he will compete with Thomas Keller and much, much more. The video is quite lengthy–some 17 minutes to be exact–but we think you’ll find the content compelling.
Speaking of compelling, word on the street is that Chiarello and The Food Network may have a few things cooking once again. Apparently, the Historic Barrel Room at the V Marketplace in Yountville (pictured below), which is just steps from NapaStyle and the site of Bottega, may soon be converted into a studio. For what?
Well, apparently Chiarello may soon be filming more episodes of Easy Entertaining from the site. What’s more is we’ve also heard whispers of another yet-to-be-finalized project that may or may not feature a live studio audience a la Emeril Lagasse’s “Emeril Live” show that ceased production in late 2007 after some 10 years on the air. If this is indeed true, Chiarello will certainly have quite the trifecta (NapaStyle, Bottega and a cooking demo/studio area) smack in the heart of Yountville.
