Cork Bits: ideas for your Napa Valley weekend
It’s that time again–Thursday afternoon and the countdown until the weekend begins is underway. As always, here are a couple local events that might be worth checking out.
Saturday, June 21st
- The 11th Annual Calistoga “Art in the Park” benefit will take place from 11am - 5pm at Pioneer Park on Cedar St. The outdoor event will include fine arts and crafts from over 30 artists and proceeds will go to childrens art programs in the community. In addition to fine arts and crafts, you’ll be able to enjoy Napa Valley wines, food and live music. Call 707-942-0417 for more information
- The 2008 Taste of Howell Mountain event will take place from 2:30pm - 7pm at Charles Krug Winery in St. Helena. The event will start with a wine (only from producers in the Howell Mountain AVA, of course) and food tasting and a silent auction under the trees. A live auction starts at 5pm with some amazing auction lots. Some of the wineries in the Howell Mountain AVA include Atlas Peak, Cakebread Cellars, Ladera and Pina Cellars. All proceeds benefit the children of the Howell Mountain Elementary School. Tickets are $125 per person at the door. Call 707-965-2665 for more information
Enjoy the warm, sunny weekend!
