Ah, the short week. Gotta love it. Well, the weekend is almost upon us, so here are a couple events taking place in-and-around the Napa Valley over the next couple days that sound intriguing (at least to us). Weather is supposed to be ideal, so get out there an enjoy.

Saturday, May 31st

  • From 12pm - 4pm The Carneros Wine Alliance will host the 3rd Annual Carneros Heritage Fest. The event is a celebration of the wines, heritage and distinctive qualities of the Carneros region’s products, culture and character. For $75 per person, you’ll be treated to Carneros Lamb BBQ, wine tastings, a young chef competition, musical entertainment, sheepherding (yes, you read that right, sheepherding!) and falconry demonstrations, vineyard tours, and more. Local wineries that will have a presence include Ceja, Merryvale and Clos du Val, to name a few. The event will take place at The Donum Estate, which is actually NOT in Napa, but at 24520 Ramal Road in Sonoma. Call 707-253-2678 for more information
  • If you’re looking to peruse a little art, check out the Napa Valley Art Festival from 10am - 4pm in the South Gardens of Copia. The festival will feature more than 40 of the West’s premier representational artists showing original works. Head on over to 500 First St. in Napa for this FREE event, or call 707-256-3828 for more information
