There’s a bit of an eerie feeling in the Napa Valley today as word continues to spread about the passing of Napa Valley legend Robert Mondavi. According to Wine Spectator, Mondavi, who was 94 years old, passed away “…at 9 a.m. today at home in Yountville, Calif.”

Robert MondaviWe encourage you to go read the great write-up on Mr. Mondavi’s life and impact on the California wine industry that James Laube has put together. The Napa Valley Register also has a write-up.

RIP Mr. Mondavi.
