Just one item for you all this week, but it’s a good one.

Saturday, April 19th and Sunday, April 20th

  • The 21st annual April in Carneros takes place on both days this weekend from 10am - 4pm. The event is essentially an open house for some 20 participating wineries in the Carneros AVA. Each winery will feature food and wine pairings, live music, art or craft shows, special tastings (barrel, reserve, library, new release), discounts or special pricing, family activities and more. Cost is $40 per person (which includes a 2008 logo glass) and tickets are valid for both days of the event.

Just some of the Napa Valley wineries that will participate include Ceja Vineyards, Folio Winemakers’ Studio, McKenzie-Mueller Vineyards & Winery, Bouchaine Vineyards and Truchard Vineyards, among others. A full map is available here (warning, PDF).

The best part of it all, aside from great wine and a general good time? Proceeds from April in Carneros fund scholarships at Santa Rosa Junior College and Napa Valley College.

Enjoy!
