The weather is supposed to be absolutely amazing this weekend, with temps in the mid-to-upper 80’s. With that in mind, here are a couple activities that’ll get you out and about to enjoy Spring!
Saturday, April 12
Clark-Claudon Vineyards is hosting the 2nd Annual Wildflowers & Wine Bike Ride, where you can experience the best of what the Napa Valley has to offer: an opportunity to embrace your senses: wildflowers at their peak, crisp clean air, rural beauty, and friends gathered together enjoying fine wine, tasty picnic fare and more.
All riding abilities are invited: three levels of routes, support vehicles, bike rentals & more are available. And the best part? Funds raised will go to support the Nicaraguan Education Project; aimed at making lasting changes in the lives of children in Nicaragua. For further details, call 707-965-9393
- Napa Valley Museum is sponsoring and leading a hike to the source of the Napa River. Just meet Jonathan Koehler, Napa County Resource Conservation District, at Robert Louis Stevenson Park in Calistoga at 9:30am sharp. From there, you’ll take a strenuous 7.6 mile hike to the south peak of Mount Saint Helena.
Along the way, you’ll observe wildlife and vegetation growing near the headwaters of the Napa River, take in stunning views of the Napa River Watershed and discover the dynamics of this and other watersheds. It’s suggested you bring comfortable hiking footwear, protective clothing, lunch and plenty of water. Call 707-944-0500 for reservations–the hike (which is free of charge) should conclude around 2pm
Saturday, April 12 and Sunday, April 13
- The folks over at Clos du Val are doing their tax relief weekend (that’s right, taxes are due on 4/15!!!) again. That means you get 10% off all tasting room purchases–just drop by 5330 Silverado Trail in Napa
