In just the past few days we’ve received notifications about several new releases from local wineries. Here they are for your perusal.

Raymond Vineyards 2006 Napa Valley Reserve ChardonnayRaymond Vineyards 2006 Napa Valley Reserve Chardonnay
Winery description: 100% Chardonnay, this wine opens with delicate floral aromas of honeysuckle and orange blossom followed by ripe pear, golden delicious apple, lemon and quince amid notes of ginger, toasted oak and vanilla. Rich, full flavors of granny smith apple, pear, zesty lemon and passion fruit with balanced acidity and a long, smooth vanilla finish.

Aged: 3 months in new Allier French Oak
Alcohol by volume: 14.1%

Goosecross Cellars 2004 Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon
Winery description: Tremendous depth and complexity. Rich, deep and dark, our Howell Mountain Cabernet is perfumed with sweet black plum, dried cherry, roasted espresso bean and anise. Lush, palate-coating flavors of black cherry, dark chocolate, cedar and subtle smoke finish with round, integrated tannins.
