This past week we spent quite a bit of time visiting wineries that are more ‘off-the-beaten-path’. Early in the week we were up on Mount Veeder, which lies in the Mayacamas mountains in the southwest of the valley. Mount Veeder is home to several well-known wineries, including The Hess Collection, Mount Veeder Winery and Chateau Potelle.
Later in the week we found ourselves high atop Spring Mountain, which lies to the west (and above) the town of St. Helena and is also part of the Mayacamas range.
