Cork Bits: ideas for your Napa Valley weekend

by Oliver J on January 10, 2008

Another Thursday is upon us, this one a wet and cool one in our neck of the woods. Here are a couple things that may be worth checking out this weekend in the Napa Valley.

Saturday, January 12

  • Murder on the Wine Train Express, now in it’s 13th year, will take place on the dinner train, which boards at 6pm at 1275 McKinstry St in Napa. The murder mystery event includes a complete five-course gourmet dinner aboard the lavishly restored 1915 Pullman dining and lounge cars, with actors attired in 1915 era costumes. Full details on how to participate can be found here. Call 800-427-4124 for more information or to make a reservation
  • The Napa Valley Museum will feature an indoor/outdoor program called “Roving Mars” at 55 Presidents Circle in Yountville. The event, which runs from 7pm – 9:30pm, will include an IMAX presentation of the Mars Rovers ‘Spirit’ and ‘Opportunity’ highlighting many of the discoveries made by the Rovers in the past three years. The event is free with admission to the museum, call 707-944-0500 for more information

Happy weekend!
