Napa Valley establishments getting hip to YouTube?

We popped on to YouTube late last night and ran a quick search for “Napa Valley” as we’ve been known to do from time-to-time. To our surprise, the search returned significantly more content than in previous attempts.

Sure, there were certainly the usual random people doing restaurant reviews, but we also found a number of slick, professionally produced videos that appear to serve as infomercials for various local establishments, including La Toque, Vintage Inn and Duckhorn Vineyards, among others. The videos, which were all added to YouTube one week ago, are produced by a company called C2B Productions and many feature Miss Hip Taster and new author Courtney Cochran.

It’s quite interesting to see more and more local establishments getting hip to YouTube–video is certainly an engaging and entertaining way to build brand awareness and online buzz. That said, for our taste, we’d love to see less of the infomercial-type stuff and more genuine, straight-talk in such videos (take a lesson from Gary V. or even
