It’s hard to believe, but the first weekend of October is upon us. Here are a couple local events you may want to check out if you’ll be in town.
Saturday, October 6
- Downtown Napa will host a cajun food and music festival that aims to bring a bit of the spirit of Mardi Gras and the flavors of New Orleans cookin’ to the wine country. Chefs from several local restaurants will be participating, including Cole’s Chop House, ZuZu, Piccolino’s, Bleaux Magnolia and Cafe Cicero. There will be live music by nationally known Zydeco bands, informal New Orleans-style street parades, and of course, wines from Napa wineries. From 1pm - 6 pm in Downtown Napa. Cost: Free. For more information, call: 707-257-0322
Cliff Lede Vineyards will host a new release celebration for its 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon, Stagecoach Vineyard and 2005 Claret, Stages Leap District. Visitors will be able to sip on the new ‘04 releases while strolling through the grounds and checking out the various sculptures from owner Cliff Lede’s personal collection, or simply relax on the winery’s porch area. From 12pm - 4pm at 1473 Yountville Cross Road in Yountville. Cost is $25 for non-wine club members, $10 for members. Call: 707-944-8642 for more information
Enjoy!
