It’s Friday, and details of yet another movie about the Napa Valley have emerged.
‘Bottle Shock’ is a “…drama about the birth of the Napa Valley wine industry” that is being put together by filmmaker Randall M. Miller. Details on the cast have just been released–the film will reportedly star Alan Rickman, who plays the Potions professor (“Severus Snape“) in the Harry Potter series, Chris Pine, Rachael Taylor, Eliza Dushku and Bill Pullman.
Here’s how Hollywood Reporter describes the movie:
Set in the 1970s, the film is based on the true story of the Montelena Winery, which won an international wine-tasting competition and put the California region on the vino map.
There you have it, another movie about the infamous 1976 Paris Tastings. With the cast now in place, filming is expected to begin in Napa and Sonoma on or about August 1st.
