Cork Board comments: June 2007

by TrevR on June 30, 2007

Wow, it was a busy month, in more ways than one. Here are a few of our favorite reader comments for the month of June.

We wrote about how we weren’t so impressed with Wine Enthusiast magazine’s list of 55 ‘under-the-radar’ things to do in Napa and asked you for your thoughts. Helen Jane shared a few of her faves:

Hiking to secret lakes in Angwin.
A dip in the pool at Health Spa Napa Valley in St. Helena.
Volakis Gallery in Yountville.
Dinner at Cook in St. Helena.
Thursday night Ana’s Cantina karaoke.

In June we surpassed the 100 post mark, which we saw as a mini milestone and a reason to reflect on what we’ve learned so far. Farley left us an insightful comment:

Funny how much you learn yourself, when trying to impart information to others, huh?

One of our weekly Cork Bits features got Margot excited:

I wish I could be there this weekend. I love Goosecross Cellars wines and the winery folks too! This weekly feature is a great idea — I’m going to use it when I plan my next visit to your neck of the vineyards. I also am going to borrow the format to blog about Washington State wine events … and Cheers!

And finally, our call to all Napa Valley wineries asking why the heck they’re NOT blogging elicited some very insightful comments, check them out.

Until next month…
