It’s Thursday and that means it’s time for Cork Bits…

Friday, June 22nd

  • Andretti Winery is giving racing fans a chance of a lifetime to meet Mario Andretti…just in time for this weekend’s NASCAR race at nearby Infineon Raceway! Light appetizers and wines will be served. Cost: $25 for non-wine club members, $20 for wine club members.

Saturday, June 23rd

  • Sequoia GroveSequoia Grove will be celebrating its 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon under the beautiful summer sky in the gardens. The usual cheese and chocolates will be paired with the wines and a BBQ will also be available for enjoyment. For wine club members, there is also a barrel tasting available. 12 – 5pm at 8338 St. Helena Highway, Napa. (800) 851-7841 or (707) 944-2945. Cost: $45 for non-wine club members, Free for wine club members. $20 for wine club member’s guests.
  • Taste of Howell Mountain is an annual wine tasting event, benefiting the Howell Mountain Educational Foundation. Events include a wine tasting, silent and live auctions to name a few. This event will be hosted by Paraduxx Winery from 2:30 – 7:00pm, at 7257 Silverado Trail, Napa. 866-367-9943 or 707-945-0890. Cost: $95 per person with advanced purchase, $125 at the door.
  • Goosecross Cellars is having a Winemaker BBQ and Barrel Tasting in honor of summer! Juicy marinated tri-tip and chicken will be served alongside a selection of wines. Please call for reservations as space is limited! 3 – 6pm at 1119 State Lane, Yountville. (800) 276-9210 or (707) 944-1986. Cost: $45 for non-wine club members, $35 for club members.
