As we previously mentioned, this weekend marked the 27th annual Auction Napa Valley–a four-day charity event that includes various special events put on by local wineries, vintners and restaurants. The weekend culminated with the final, live auction, which was kicked-off by comedian Dana Carvey. All told, 45 Live, 106 Barrel and 81 E lots were closed on Sunday for a total of more than $9.8 million. All of the proceeds will be used to support local health care, youth services and affordable housing non-profits.

The lot that received the highest bid was the Staglin Family Vineyard lot, which included three 3 liter bottles and a six-day driving tour (complete with Maseratis) of Italy with the Staglin family. The winning bid, which came from an anonymous couple, was $1.1 million.

Full details can be found here and a photo gallery of the 2007 event is here.
