Last night we were sitting in one of our favorite local dining establishments finishing up some Cabernet Sauvignon and appetizers when the restaurant started buzzing. Apparently a quasi-celebrity had just walked in and been seated for dinner.
Upon further inspection, we learned that Carmen Policy, a legendary figure in Bay Area sports, was dining alone at the restaurant. We saw him order a bottle of Pellegrino sparkling water and a glass of wine–although we didn’t stick around long enough to determine what food he selected.
Being the die-hard Dallas Cowboys fans that we are, we had to try really, really hard to refrain from shouting ‘how ’bout them Cowboys!?’ as we walked out of the dining room…
