Cork Bits: Ideas for your Napa Valley Weekend

To commemorate the first weekend of Spring, this edition of Cork Bits is dedicated to some of the Valley’s celebrations of the season as well as other fun events.

Saturday, March 24:

  • A Taste of Yountville showcases the town’s “gourmet roots”. This event, part of the annual Mustard Festival, features samplings of gourmet restaurant fare, olive oils, wines and microbrews. There will also be entertainment throughout the downtown area. 11am – 5pm at downtown Yountville. (707) 944-0904. Cost: Tasting tickets sold on site.
  • Beringer will host a cellar sale that will be open to the public. Wine Club Members and their guests will have a special preview of the cellar sale and be able taste the wines before the doors open to the public from 9am – 10am. Hours for non-members are from 10am – 3pm. Located at Beringer Vineyards, Old Winery. (707) 967-4412. Cost: No Charge

Saturday, March 24 through Sunday, March 25:

  • Silver Pass Weekend on Silverado Trail will give pass holders the opportunity to visit 14 different wineries celebrating Spring along the Silverado Trail. Pass holders will also be entitled to current release tastings along with barrel samples, food pairing, and special discounts. A portion of the pass sales will be donated to the Napa County Unified School District to benefit the Books for Preschoolers program. Participating wine orders include Monticello, Signorello, Hagafen, Robinson Family Vineyards and more. 11am – 4pm. (866) 844-9463. Cost: $30 Full Weekend Pass, $20 Sunday only.
